Orientation Program was organized for the parents of Kindergarten and Primary Block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec School, sec- 44-D,Chandigarh. The event started with the warm welcome by the coordinator. A slide show was shown to the parents to familiarize them with the working of the school and rules & regulations to be followed throughout the year. Upcoming programs like ‘Speech and Drama’, Edusports were also introduced which were welcomed and appreciated by the parents. Video clippings of different teaching methodologies and activities were also shown to the parents which gave them an opportunity to peep into the teaching techniques and innovative ideas applied by the teachers to groom the students. Little children participated in some fun filled educational games.
Ms Lily Sebastian laid emphasis story telling and reading habits to be inculcated in the children from this tender age, as she said “READERS BECOME LEADERS’.
Principal, Ms Monica Chawla addressed the gathering with her inspirational thoughts and guided the parents about the traits essential for successful parenting. A huge round of applaud was heard when it was announced that the school had the privilege and honor of being awarded for being the best public school for quality education in Chandigarh which was given at the 7th Asia Educational Summit 2017.
