 TOBACCO- A THREAT TO DEVELOPMENT

St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School celebrated World No Tobacco Day on May 29, 2017. Raman House initiated by organizing a PowerPoint Presentation Competition. The competition served as a good platform to showcase their skills and the students found a good opportunity to display their teamwork. The students of different houses and classes participated with full zest and brought forth an amalgamation of intelligence, research and creativity. The students toiled hard to conduct the research for information on the topic and presented them with innovation. They prepared themselves so well in order to answer the questions related successfully. The PPTs encompassed a vast variety of harmful effects of smoking, vibrant templates, dramatic background, effects, rich and informative content. All the houses have  put up a great show by facing the Questions-Answers session in a healthy manner. In the end The Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla emphasized upon the negative impact of smoking and stressed upon the need of staying away from it. In the competition both teams of Ranjit House from class 9th as well as 10th bagged first and second positions.
