St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, proudly applauds the outstanding performance of its Under-19 Boys’ Table Tennis Team, which secured a Silver Medal at the Inter-School State UT Tournament, held at Chandigarh Sports Complex, Sector 50, from 18 August 2026 to 28 August 2026.
Competing against 9 participating teams, the Josephite boys delivered a spirited and technically accomplished performance throughout the tournament. Their precise strokes, strategic placement, quick reflexes and tactical awareness were evident in their encounters. They displayed remarkable consistency while adapting intelligently to changing match situations, proving their ability to compete with confidence at the state level.
The team’s journey to the Silver Medal was characterised by determination, discipline and an unwavering competitive mindset. Every rally tested their concentration, every close point demanded patience, and every challenging situation called for a calm response. Rather than being overwhelmed by pressure, the players continued to fight for every point, showcasing the resilience and sportsmanship that define a true athlete.
The School Management and Principal Ms. Monica Chawla commended the young players for their exceptional commitment and competitive spirit. The school leadership appreciated the boys for representing St. Joseph’s with dignity, discipline and determination, while recognising that their achievement was built on the strength of consistent practice and the courage to face formidable competition.
