The St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh organised a debate competition where the students of the school participated with great enthusiasm and fervour. The topic of the competition was “What is more important between Rights and Duties?”. This debate competition was held under the judicious guidance of the honourable Principal of the school, Ms. Monica Chawla. Not only the Principal encouraged them with her inspiring words but also acquainted them with the crucial importance of following both rights and duties in the life in correct proportion.
The students left the audience spell bound with their debating skills. The participants were judged on the basis of clarity of concept, fluency and confidence. They were highly applauded and appreciated by the judges and all spectators.
The winners of the competitions were : Gunjan and Ayachi of VII B got the First and Second Position respectively. Vansh Bhatia of VII A and Shourya of VII C won the Third Position whereas Gursirat Kaur of VII F and Sukhmandeep Singh of VII E bagged the Consolation Prize.
