An award ceremony for the students of class X was organized at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School on the 21st of February. The function began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by the giving away of certificates to the deserving students. The categories under which the students were recognized ranged from shouldering responsibility, to being disciplined, taking initiative, and being courteous. Students possessing leadership skills and being inspirational for their peers, were recognized. The students who showed remarkable improvement and had immense potential were honoured too. The school has always done its very best to enable students to improve, be it academics or other spheres. Students who worked tirelessly throughout the year, were awarded trophies under various categories such as – Accolades for exemplary efforts followed by Recognition of exceptional work ethics and Laudable efforts. Arjun Sharma an artist par excellence, was also honoured on the occasion. The all important All- Rounders trophy was presented to the most deserving student – Parth Kansal who excelled not just in academics but also stood out in all spheres, be it sports and other activities. A powerful speaker, Parth excelled in his oratory skills and stood out in his debating skills. After receiving his trophy, Parth expressed his gratitude to his mentors in helping him achieve this prestigious award. Students also spoke on the occasion and thanked their teachers for their guidance. They also expressed their deep gratitude to the Management of the school for giving them the best of opportunities. Wonderful memories of a year packed with events, activities and fun moments were also expressed by the students. The respective class – teachers also wished the students the very best for their exams and showered the students with the choicest of blessings. The Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla in her speech laid emphasis on the need for students, to put in the best of their efforts and congratulated the award winners for their dedicated efforts. The Co-ordinator Ms. Priyadarshini Sebastian also spoke about the value of time-management, so very crucial during exams
As the day drew to an end, the proud awardees left the school premises realizing the biggest test awaited them – their board exams which required their most diligent of efforts.
