Continuing the legacy of multitude of activities and hundreds of prizes, students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh have again made the institution proud by participating in the plethora of competitions hosted by the Chandigarh college of Education and Sponsored by the Punjab State council for Science and Technology, Chandigarh.
The theme of the event was ‘Innovations in teaching mathematics’. The competition aimed to generate awareness and develop creativity and innovative practices in mathematics and pedagogic resources both for learners and educators.
Drenched in enthusiasm, the students of St. Joseph’s participated whole heatedly in the competitions and also emerged as winners.
Raging forward, Shreya Chawla of Class VIII took the top seat in Chart Making Competitions and displayed her skills in Formulae of 3D Shapes.
The team comprising of the eager-beavers Tarun Pal Singh (IX), Gurbakshish Singh (IX) and Raghav Bansal (IX) secured the First Position in the Interschool maths Quiz Competition, whereas sanyog Rastogi (IX), Aditya(IX and Dev (IX) bagged the second positions after a tough grueling round of questions to test the skills of the participants on logic, properties of numbers and mathematical Rules and Results.
These achievements bear evidence to the fact that the school not only endeavors for bringing forth the classroom scholars but it takes responsibility to create all rounder’s who keeps themselves abreast with the journey of success.
Revered Director Rupinder Singh and worthy Principal Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated the students for their stupendous achievement and motivated them to keep up with the same zeal in the future. She also congratulated the Math’s Department for their endeavor.
