Gunjan Singh of class IX from St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School bagged Third Prize in the ‘The Tribune Cognizance Scrapbook Competition 2016’ conducted by the Tribune. Besides getting certificate of appreciation, he was gifted a camera as well for showing excellence in creativity.
The Tribune, Cognizance, organized A Scrapbook Competition for the students of class V to class X. Students from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and Uttrakhand exhibited their talent and creativity through their scrapbook. Thousands of students along with their parents, siblings & grandparents had thronged the venue. A panel of judges comprised school heads from six renowned schools of tricity. They assessed and evaluated thousands of entries and amongst those entries Gunjan made a mark and made the Institution proud.
The award function was held at Punjab University’s Law Auditorium. In order to provide the students and parents a glimpse into designing a scrapbook their work was displayed. Students felt motivated and are looking forward to many more chances of that kind.
At School level Gunjan’s efforts were appreciated by the Chairman, Mr. Rupinder Singh and also the Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla for bringing accolades to the school.
