World Health Day is a global health awareness day, celebrated every year on 7th April. This day is observed to mark the founding of WHO.
Various activities were organized by Primary-2 wing of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh to highlight the significance of the issue of good health and well -being. It was unique experience to come together to promote actions that can improve our Health through a skit, enacted by the students of class V. It emphasized on good eating habits that include a balanced diet with lots of water. It further insisted on physical activities such as yoga and meditation with a message-“No action today- No cure tomorrow”
A very informative and significant talk was delivered by the students on the theme-“Depression- Let us talk”
She stressed that depression has affected people of all ages and it can be prevented and treated with better understanding and it will help to reduce the stigma associated with the illness. The teachers also talked about how stress affects the health of the children.
