Mother’s Day was celebrated on 8th and 9th May by Primary-1 block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Chandigarh with fervor and enthusiasm. To realize the mothers, their importance in a child’s life “Mother’s Day” was celebrated in the school precincts with the active participation of the mothers and their children as well.
On the occasion, mothers were invited for the musical morning. The children put up a great show expressing their love for their mothers. Students also displayed their love through activities like card making, mosaic etc.
Teachers also portrayed the pivotal role of mother, who gives immeasurable care and happiness to the child, through beautiful poems and songs.
The mothers participated in various competitions like flower arrangement, solo dance and games like MINUTE TO WIN, MUSICAL CHAIR etc with great enthusiasm and a zeal to win. Ms. Monica Chawla, the Principal of the school felicitated all the winners and motivated the students to respect their mothers and make their children strong enough to face the hard ships of life with a smile.
