“Creativity is piercing mundane to find the marvellous”

St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School had a privilege to conduct   the Art Workshop sponsored by Pidilite. The teachers of the school enthusiastically participated in the making of Bottle Craft using Shilpkar sculpturing material to bring out their creativity and skill. Shilpkar, a purely modelling compound used by the hobbyists, artists and sculptors in making bottle craft, miniature models, jewellery etc. was used and moulded in distinct patterns and designs and was embossed on the old glass bottles. This extremely durable and advanced clay was painted and varnished with all types of Fevicryl Hobby Acrylic Colours to give the craft rich gloss and colour. Ms. Renu Sharma who conducted the workshop highlighted the importance of Shilpkar and told the learner teachers that it has self hardening quality and does not shrink in size unlike the regular wet clay.
