To keep the children in sync with our tradition and also to celebrate Krishna Janamashtami which is round the corner, the teachers of Kindergarten wing of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh, took the students to ISKCON temple. Huge and splendid idols of Lord Krishna and Goddess Radha, were placed there. Tiny tots bowed before the Almighty and were amused to hear the interesting episodes of Krishna’s life, narrated to them by the priests i.e. maakhan-chori, Krishna-Sudama Milan, govardhan pooja, kansa vadha etc. The little devotees swayed along with the melodious hymns being played there and danced to the tunes of religious notes ‘hare krishna hare hare’. At the time of departure the students received ‘Prasaad” as the blessings of God. The aim of the visit was to inculcate religious values in the tender hearts.
