Float and Sink Activity was conducted in the Kindergarten block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sec 44-D, Chandigarh because Kids are very inquisitive and love discovering why do some things float and some sink in water. It’s a great hands-on science activity for kids which give rise to their critical thinking.
Different objects both heavy and light were kept along with the tub full of water. Children picked up the objects randomly and threw in the water. They observed that heavy objects like wood, beads, coins and pebbles sank in the water and light objects like balls, balloons, feathers float on the water. Thus they learnt the concepts of heavy and light & float and sink in a wonderful play way method.
