The times that we live-in, make it imperative for us to keep certain safety measures in place. At St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School safety rules for children were read out during the school assembly in the Secondary Block, to keep students abreast of these rules and to stay safe and alert. Students were told to be aware of their address, contact no. and not to share this vital information with strangers. Other important points mentioned were – to be aware of strangers, follow school security measures, participate in mock safety drills. Furthermore, reporting suspicious activity and immediately reporting any information about a student with sharp objects, also refraining from teasing, bullying and harassing other students was also stressed upon. In fact, the entire school has taken a novel step by writing the safety rules for children and putting them up in each classroom of the school. Such rules would enable students to be aware and alert. An anti bullying squad, comprising of a few students of class X has been in the institution and it is these youngsters who would be responsible for any cases reported to them, wherein necessary action would be ensured. The children’s safety is surely the concern and definitely a priority at St. Joseph’s .
