In the contemporary period of urbanization and globalization, we are bound to embrace a bitter truth that our heritage is deteriorating at an alarming rate . Just to pioneer the cause the students of the Eco-club of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec School, Chandigarh teamed up to clear the world acclaimed heritage site The Rock garden. It is a surreal fantasy which is an outcome of Nek Chand’s imagination and talent since 1957 and an asset of the city Beautiful with an architect marvel. These sites are the reminiscence of the living witnesses of the golden era with a message that the responsibility to clean the heritage sites rested not only on the government but also on the public as responsible citizens. The drive proved helpful in developing right attitude, discipline and inspired  the students not to take things casually. After all these sites are the testimony to the evolution and a symbol of cultural expression.
