Girl – a beautiful creation by God needs attention, focus and respect. And to underline the same self defence camp, a three-days camp was organized at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. school.sec.44-d CHD. to mark international day for Girl Child on 11.10.2017.It being the first day was devoted to ‘Self Defence’ training keeping in view the importance of defending rather than fighting. Self defence was followed by inculcating the “habit of sharing” as it is the best medicine to ease our heart and gives tranquility to mind. Discrimination between good touch and bad touch was also imparted to the students as it is very essential these days. The girls were made vigilant about all the evils prevalent in society and how to protect themselves from all. A special assembly was also devoted to this issue with the motto of ‘Respect Girls.’ Thus the camp proved to be a great boon for the girls as it taught them to safeguard themselves from various evils in society and face the challenges boldly.
Principal motivated the girls to empower themselves through martial art and special self defence techniques besides knowledge and skill enhancement. She also added that empowering and education girls is one of the strongest way not only to improve gender equality but to promote healthy development of families, communities & Nations.
