Roopjeet Singh a student of class VIII from St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School , Sector 44-D brought laurels to the school when he won the 2^nd position in the Under -16 Horlicks Open Chess Tournament .This tournament was held on the 29^th of October at the Manav Mangal School in Sector -21. A proud moment for this youngster as the tournament was tough and competitive. Chess being a mind game that requires tremendous concentration for anyone playing this game and in a competition, the focus is what eventually matters. Roopjeet proved his mettle and was congratulated by the Chairman of the school Mr. Rupinder Singh Grewal and the Principal Ms. Monica Chawla. They wished Roopjeet many more successes in the years to come.
