World heritage day was celebrated by senior secondary block students at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School. Heritage represents our Nation’s identity, it is not only interpreting the past for the use of the future but also recognizing contemporary traditions that affect the present and will influence the future.The students made collages with utmost enthusiasm and zeal to display their love for our country’s heritage.
The day was celebrated accentuating our vast heritage. The annual celebration marked its importance by not only creating awareness about the diversity of our culture and heritage but also with an aim to reinforce required efforts to protect and conserve it.
Various groups of students presented collage in innovative styles with a call to all to save our past, along with messages of peace, love, spreading the warmth of humanity.
First Prize was bagged by Shreya Grover, Sukriti, Akshita Khurana, Karanvir Kaur, and Navaljeet Kaur. Second prize was awarded to Anusha, Ananya, Sneha, kavya and Shagun Consolation prizes were also given.
Director, Mr. Rupinder Singh Grewal guided the students to not only feel proud of our heritage but also step ahead, protect its beauty and vulnerability. Principal Monica Chawla praised the efforts of the students and highlighted the importance of reviewing the lessons of the past to prepare us to face the challenges of the future.
