You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you”.With Kerala limping back to normalcy after the incessant rains and floods that ravaged the state,people from all over the world have pitched in to help the flood victims begin their life afresh.“A bit of fragrance always clings to the hand that gives you roses”.Upholding this virtue,over the past many years,St Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D has always been at the forefront in doing their bit for community. For helping the Kerala flood victims reeling under the aftermath of devastating floods,St Joseph’s staff and students contributed whole heartedly for the noble cause and collected 90,000 rupees.Out of which 60,000 was donated to a U.K based NGO Khalsa by Founder Lady Mrs. Harjinder Kaur, Member of Management Mr. Paramdeep S. Grewal, Principal Mrs. Monica Chawla and Kindergarten Coordinator Ms. Shimmi. Vaishnavi Verma and Advait Anand the tender hearts contributed maximum towards this noble cause. They did not make the headlines, but the volunteers did touch the hearts of the flood ravaged state.Over the past 20 years, Khalsa Aid has been at the forefront of several relief operations,guided by the principle: Recognize the human race as one. Proving that there’s no deed bigger than charity the noble and generousVolunteeers from the NGO have set up a ‘langar’,(community kitchen) in Kochi to provide food to the flood victims.Khalsa Aid have also opened an international fundraiser for the Kerala Flood Victims. In addition to this an amount of 30,000 was contributed to the CMDRF to provide assistance to help in rehabilitating them.
