 Traffic Awareness Workshop

St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector – 44D, Chandigarh organized a Traffic Awareness Workshop under the supervision of Mr. Rakesh Kumar, who along with his team is marking a significant attempt of moulding the students of Chandigarh into alert and dutiful citizens of tomorrow. It was an interactive programme in which Mr. Rakesh addressed the students and the staff. He made the Josephians aware of how non cooperation by the public in abiding by the traffic rules and regulations was resulting in massive loss of life and property. He also shared the figures of people dying on the roads because of over speeding and carelessness. The highlight of the workshop was Mandatory use of helmets by females. Mr. Bhupinder Singh conveyed the message of being careful on the roads by singing songs full of message. The students really got enthralled and motivated to follow the traffic rules. The students were told to wear seat belts, helmets and obtain proper driving license before starting driving. It was an attempt to shake the future citizens from their slumber. The Josephians listened to the details intently. The programme left an indelible mark on the minds of the participants. They pledged to be responsible citizens who take rules and regulations seriously and value life above all.
