National Integration Day was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School with a view to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony and to pay homage to our revered PM, Mrs Indira Gandhi on her birthday commemoration. A special assembly was conducted by the students of Middle Block that aimed to promote traditional and cultural conservation and integration. It showed how the people from all walks of life with diverse social, economic, cultural background should live together in the garb of a play. Songs from all religious backgrounds were sung to bestow peace and harmony among the people. People from all castes, religions and states pledged to give preference to the national language, national flag, national anthem, and national symbols. A very important message was rolled on the stage which shows that one must remain loyal to one’s country by considering oneself as national heroes and by not attaching one’s identity to individual traits. The school principal, Ms. Monica Chawla motivated the children to choose their friends not on the basis of their religion or region they belong to but by seeing their values.
