St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School celebrated 550th ‘Guru Nanak Dev Jayanti’, Gurpurab in the school premises. The celebrations started with the ‘Ardaas’. The students spoke on the life and teachings of Guru Nanak Ji. The spiritual ambience of the devotional songs and chants resounded in the entire school. The students were dressed up in their traditional attires and preached everyone to rise above the petty issues. To promote national integration and communal harmony, the Josephites spread the message of peace and oneness by reciting Shabad Gayan thus reminding us about the noble words of Guru Ji. Tejpartap of Class VI performed martial art, ‘Gatka’ to pay tribute to Guru Sahib. The celebrations culminated with distribution of Karah Prasad, sweets and biscuits for the staff members as well as the students. The entire atmosphere was devotional and blissful.
Mr. Sukhdeep Singh, Ms Lily Sebastian and the school Principal Ms. Monica Chawla graced the occasion and showered their choicest blessings on the students .
