A Special Assembly was organised by the Primary II Block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44- D, Chandigarh. The winners of Art , Colouring, Collage and Handwriting Competitions conducted by Rangotsav Celebration,an Organization for National Level Art Competition, Mumbai – Maharashtra.

     The competition received an overwhelming response wherein more than 100 Josephites from classes KG to XIth participated wholeheartedly showcasing their innnate abilities. Aashi Gautam of Class III- D brought laurels to the school by becoming All India Ist Prize Winner and won Golden Ashoka Stambh Award. Continuing the winning spree another student of our institution Hargun Babbar Class VI – E got 3^rd Rank and received Colour & Handwriting Combo Set. The principal, Ms. Monica Chawla was awarded with ‘Dronacharya award’ and Ms. Ramanjit Kaur (Art Teacher) also received a trophy as a token of appreciation. The budding artists of St. Joseph’s carved a niche for them by bagging Art Merit Trophy, Money Banks with Gold Medals, Golden Award, Consolation Prizes and many surprise gifts. The Principal Ms.Monica Chawla has given away the prizes, medals and certificates to all the winnersShe congratulated the students for winning exciting prizes and applauded the efforts of Rangotsav Celebration to provide a stimulating platform to bring out the artistic and creative potential of the children. She further exhorted that,” Art is the expression of soul that plays an important role in enhancement of aesthetic sense of a child.”
