Primary 2 block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44- D, Chandigarh celebrated its annual function “VIBRANT EXUBERANZA 2019,” with great zeal and enthusiasm at the school premises. The function was flagged off with the release of balloons by the Director Rupinder Grewal, Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal and Mr. Paramdeep Grewal, and Principal Ms. Monica Chawla who presided as the guests.
The function began with an amazing performance, an invocation to Lord Ganesha presented by class 3. This was followed by an enthralling contemporary dance performed to the song of IndianRaga. The class 5 students danced gracefully to the Rajasthani medley , Maati Ki Khushboo involving folk songs like Kesariya Balam, Ghoomar which really set the stage on fire . A fun filled English play, “Mind Your Language” based on an old television series performed by the young artists really brought out the humour in the language and highlighted the power of being honest to the profession. The stage was lit up with a dazzling display showcased by the Australian Drill dance.
A patriotic fervour was added by the class 4 students through their mesmerising performance to the medley of patriotic fusion showing the bravery and sacrifice of the soldiers to the country. A tribute to the dying circus was brought out through a power packed performance named”Amusement Carnival” which showed acts like hula hoops, cycle stunts etc. which was a great visual treat to all.
The dance “ Navrang Nritya” a double faced masked dance to the old Hindi song was the highlight of the day as it was unique and creative and the audience thoroughly enjoyed to see the young children dance in dual roles.The students danced with great enthusiasm to Dangal movie song showing strength and determination to bring out the theme of women empowerment. The theme of
“ Spirit of sports” was brought by a motivational dance from M.S Dhoni movie. A hilarious Nuukad Natak “ Hindi Huyi Bimar” was enacted by the students in a magnificent way which ticked the funny bone of the viewers.The function had many fillers as Stand up Comedy , Puppet show , Krishna Vani which provided humour and thought provoking messages which caught the attention of the audience.Last but not the least was the most captivating Bhangra which brought life on the stage through a highly energetic performance by the students . Principal Ms Monica Chawla addressed the gathering with her inspiring thoughts and congratulated the students for giving such a wonderful performance. She also thanked the management members, teachers and parents for their wonderful cooperation in making the function a huge success.
