St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School’s XI class science stream student, Vice Head Girl (2018-19) Shreya Chawla claimed her fame once again by bagging first prize and cash award of 1500/- at Interschool Declamation Contest on “The Harmful Effects of Tobacco”. The contest was organized by SAHATYA- Sahayta Charitable Welfare Society, Chandigarh to mark an awareness drive. Students of more than 60 government and private school had participated in this endeavor to make it a success. Shreya Chawla took an ace upon ace to win the race and achieved first position in the contest for the consecutive second year.She is an ardent member of Scouts and Guides (National level), a fine orator, elite debater, a recognized classical dancer and an exquisite artist. Shreya has also proved her academic caliber by scoring 95.8% in CBSE Secondary Examination. She also volunteered for ‘NO PLASTIC’ drive in the beaches and resorts of Andaman Island for which she was appreciated by one and all.Chairman, Mr. Rupinder Singh congratulated Shreya on her distinguished achievement and applauded her devout dedication.
