Secondary Block of St Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School organized a health talk to make students aware about the Importance of Hydration. Dr Megha emphasized that mild dehydration can have impact on students’ performance from trouble focusing, fatigue, fussiness to poor mood. The symptoms of dehydration are certainly not conducive to learning. She said that almost one out of every four students did not consume enough water on a given school day. Our body uses the water to maintain the temperature. When there is adequate water from inside and out the skin looks healthier and more vibrant and is less prone to wrinkles. It is important to drink lots of fluids throughout the day for best results. She added that there is a dire need to spread awareness among people and to give knowledge about water conservation. Then queries were taken and children cleared their doubts about health related issues.
Principal Ms. Monica Chawla appreciated the efforts and motivated teachers to conduct these types of sensitive talk in future as health is the most important ingredient for happy life.
