Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all.” To celebrate motherhood and salute the epitome of unconditional love, little Josephians of Kindergarten block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh took the opportunity to make this Mother’s Day special for them by celebrating it in their school premises. The special guests of the day i.e. mothers were welcomed with beautiful handmade cards and love baskets by the tiny tots. Later scintillating dance performances by Pre KG and KG students were presented on the theme of ‘Mother’ that showcased their gratitude and reverence towards the purest love in the world. The songs like Meri Maa, Ungli pakadh ke phir se sikha de, maawa thandiya chaawan, ye to sach hai ki bhagwan hai swayed away one and all. The mothers got emotional and teary eyed on getting such a special treatment from their kids and thanked the school management for organizing such a wonderful show.
Some fun games like musical chair, junk the trunk, tongue twisters, bursting the balloon were also organized for the mothers in which they participated with zeal and enthusiasm. The Principal Monica Chawla awarded the winners of the games. She delivered the vote of thanks and appreciated the hard work put up by all the mothers behind the success of their children and motivated them to continue the same in future also to make them a better human being. Thus the event ‘Mommy & Me’ proved to be an amalgamation of music, dance, emotions, entertainment, fun and love.
