As a part of Water Conservation Campaign, the Primary II Block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector- 44 D, Chandigarh conducted various activities and competitions. The brimming Josephians of Class III carried out ‘Rally on water conservation’, during which students made people in the vicinity of school aware about the significance of water. They raised the slogans such as, “Water is life and Every drop counts” which echoed high among the residents.
The enthusiastic students of Class IV inscribed catchy slogans like “No water, No Life”; “Water is Life, Treat it Right” etc. to spread message on necessity of conserving water for human existence. The imaginative students of Class V made the most of their creativity to colour their thoughts and prepared beautiful posters on water conservation. Through their posters students highlighted the importance of freshwater, shared various water saving tips and illustrated various causes of scarcity of water in the most creative manner.
The winners of the respective competitions were given away prizes and certificates. The principal, Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated the winners and applauded them for their efforts to make this campaign a great success. She stated that,”The arts offer unique way to illuminate reality.” She also added that, ”Utilizing the art and creativity is a wonderful way for the younger generations to get involved and share their ideas about saving water everyday.”
