To mark the birth of Lord Krishna, Janmashtami festival is celebrated with great fervor and enthusiasm at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec School. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion and faith.The celebration comprised of mirthful performances by the students of Primary I and Kindergarten Block like dances, bhajans recitation and speech on life of Lord Krishna and his teaching of mankind. On this auspicious day school organized a Matki and Flute Decoration Competition. All the participants made beautiful flutes and matkies by using glitters, doris, gota, beads and colourful flowers. Students showcased their creativity through beautifully decorated matkies and flutes. They were judged by Art Teachers, Miss Anita Joshi on the basis of their efforts and creativity. Our coordinator Ma’am Ms.Shelza Arora explained the significance of the festival to the students. She said such festivals inculcate cultural values among the students. She also congratulated the winners and encouraged them.
