A workshop entitled Python was recently held at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School , Sector 44-D, Chandigarh. This was conducted by the CBSE on Capacity Building . The resource person for this workshop was MS. Urvashi Nag , who showed the programming of Python on the projector for the teachers who had come from various schools across the North Zone region to participate in this informative and interactive session. Ms. Urvashi discussed in detail about syntax and had made a few programmes and mentored the computer teachers on how to execute these programmes. She also mentioned about the type of errors that one may encounter and how to remove these errors.
Numerous activities were also conducted and teachers were given relevant tasks which they had to complete within a stipulated time frame.
Appropriate and informative handouts were given to the teachers for better understanding of various concepts.Since the teachers came from different schools, it was a great platform for them to share and exchange ideas and return with greater knowledge of their subject.Such sessions become helpful and necessary for teachers to keep them clued up and aware of the newest in the world of computers and technology.
The Principal Ms. Monica Chawla was all praise for the resource person and thanked her for the expert guidance rendered. She also thanked the teachers who had come to attend this all important session and hoped that many such workshops would be held in the near future for the teaching staff. This would definitely assist the learners and equip the teacher’s for all the challenges that lay ahead in the world of computers.
