To encourage efforts to build more disaster resilient communities and nations, St.Joseph’s Sen.Sec. School, Chandigarh celebrated  International Disaster Reduction Day in the school premises only. On the occasion Josephites unleashed their hidden talent by preparing various projects on disaster management. Every child was enlightened by the information imparted about disaster management by showing a video.The video equipped students with the information pertaining to the natural calamities.Educators made the students cognizant about the  causes and effects of natural disaster along with the disaster prevention,mitigation and preparedness. They discussed about the meticulous planning in case of any emergency due to natural disaster.A speech was delivered by the House Prefects in which  the best practices were discussed which aimed to reduce disaster risks and disaster losses.
