The Investiture Ceremony of St. Joseph Senior Secondary School, Sector 44 for the academic session 2019-2020 was held with grandeur and dignity. A special ceremony was held with the high degree of earnestness and passion and was presided over by the compassionate and principled Principal of the school Mrs. Monica Chawla.
The Investiture ceremony signifies the reliance and confidence that the school consigns in the newly invested office bearers. Donning the mantle of accountability, they also pledge to bestow their duties to the best of their abilities. We believe that the child centric approach will frame a responsible citizen.
The ceremony was held with lots of zeal and zest. It commenced with a welcome note followed by conferring the elected Leaders with badges, sashes and House flags by the Principal Ma’am, Coordinators and House In-charges. The students’ council took the pledge to hold the school motto of “For God and Country” in high esteem. Specific goals of achieving zero tolerance to abuse, running an anti-bullying campaign and having a campus where only English is language of expressions and emotions were assigned to them by the principal for the academic year 2019-20. They were also assigned some general goals of discipline, cleanliness and eco-friendly campus which are already engrained in the philosophy of the school.
Ms. Parminder Kaur of Class XII (Humanities) and Mr. Rohan Soni of Class XII (Sciences) were selected the Head Girl and the Head Boy respectively for the current academic session. Gunjan Sabharwal of X D became the Vice Head girl and Shivam Vats of X B was conferred with the position of Vice Head boy. The all four houses of the school also got their new Captain and Vice Captains; and all came from the secondary section of the school. The Staff present at the ceremony congratulated them and admonished them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties.
The Principal in her address appreciated and congratulated them. She advised them to be role models and extended a supporting hand to the students’ council for the smooth running of the school. The function concluded with singing of the National Anthem.
