St.Joseph’s Sr.Sec School students annually indulged in adopting and facilitating animals at Chattbir Zoo.Keeping intact the motto “Service before self” Young josephians visited Chattbir Zoo for Adoption Campaign that symbolizes Animals depend on people too. The students encashed this opportunity by contributing money for nurturing the animals in zoo. Money provides support directly to care and custody of animals within the zoo. Animals like snake, peacock, comb duck , black swan, dove, duck , partridge , parrot budgerigar etc. were adopted by ST. JOSEPH’S SR. SEC SCHOOL , Sector 44-D,Chandigarh. This annual practice at St. Joseph’s prompts nobility amongst students and makes them responsible and sensitive towards nature. Students regaled  on learning about the life style or diet, age, climate needs of these animals.The students were also told about the recommendations, exchange programs, animal behavior specialist and animal shelter consultants by the zoo officer. Students enjoyed Lion and Deer Safari too. Students thanked zoo officers and Principal Ma’am for giving them a wonderful opportunity to serve for the noble cause that is ADOPT animals that exist around so that they become responsible custodians of nature.
