And they have aptly proved this.
To honour the achievers in various fields a prize distribution ceremony was conducted today in the school campus, where students were seen responsibly taking up charge and actively participating. School Management members Mr. Sukhdeep Grewal, Ms. Lily Sebastian and all coordinators graced the occasion. The award ceremony began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a warm welcome by the students of class IX. Then the school management conferred trophies to the deserving students in academics and multitude of co-curricular activities. Coveted awards were presented such as most promising student which was given to Shivangi Thakur. The All –Rounder Award was presented to the most deserving – Gunjan Sabharwal. Class IX students presented a beautiful song for their seniors. Educators wished class X Josephians all the best for their future and urged them to become good human beings who could convert weakness into strength, obstacles into opportunities and failures into triumphs. Josephians of Class Xth shared the moments of reliving the good memories they had of the school and their peers and teachers. The Vice –Head Boy and Vice – Head Girl also spoke on the occasion.
The School Principal Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated the achievers and motivated them to be clear headed and sure footed in their approach. She also encouraged them to work hard with more zeal and strive for better results in the board exams. She also laid stress on the importance of committed efforts that would go a long way in aiding students to excel in future undertakings. Academics is not the only area which requires attention- to be good and caring human being is also an integral aspect of an individual. The Principal emphasized on the need to work towards the development of one’s values, as these add to a person’s personality in a big way.
Award ceremony indeed proved to be an emotional tribute from students towards their teachers. The event was laced with blessings and good wishes of the teachers for their students reflecting their unconditional love and hope for their bright future. The programme was carried in the healthy spirit and was concluded with the shower of blessings.
