St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School , Sector – 44 , Chandigarh organized an intra class Virtual Food Fest to celebrate ‘The World Food Day’2020
As rightly said , “To eat is a necessity , but to eat intelligently is an art.” To create an awareness about healthy food and dietary habits St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School , Sector – 44 , Chandigarh , Middle Block celebrated ‘The World Food Day’2020 and organized an intra class Virtual Food Fest. Students participated in the celebration with great enthusiasm and fervour .
Some of the events like Poster Making on Immunity Booster Food , Slogan Writing , preparing some healthy Food Recipes , Poems and collages on Evolution of Food , Cartoon strip related to World Food day , donating food to the needy people and Healthy Salad Food activity formed the focal point which carried the message of “Healthy Heart, Healthy Body”.
A variety of mouthwatering homemade delicious dishes were prepared by the exuberant young chefs and presented through videos and pictures that tempted and attracted each and everyone alike. Relishing the food , reciting and singing rhymes , though virtually , ensured that happiness reigned even in this arduous pandemic stage .
Teachers too addressed the students with inspirational speeches, tableau, thought provoking quotes highlighting the demerits of consuming junk food, world food problem and solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty. Students understood the benefits of consuming healthy fresh food that meet the relevant food quality and safety.
Last but not the least , addressing the students , Principal Ms Monica Chawla , lauded the efforts of the students for being successful in spreading a healthy message . She congratulated the students for their active participation and commendable presentation. With added knowledge about different international cuisine, basic table manners and ethics , the event adjourned .
