To give wings to the children to pursue their dreams and bring out their hidden talents a unique ‘Virtual Educonclave’ was organised wholly on a virtual platform at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School ,(Middle Block) sector 44D , Chandigarh. Our school has always been devout towards the environmental issues and the students are powerful advocates for its conservation.
The three days extravaganza which was an amalgamation of verve,camaraderie ,creativity and passion concluded on a constructive note and lived up to its promised themes of Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Change, Natural Resource Conservation and Insecurity of Food and Energy.Educonclave proved to be a perfect platform to hone the skills of the participants and sensitise them towards the current happenings of the world. The block was abuzz with fun-filled activities from 28th September to 1st of October with all the classes engaged in recitation ,elocution, role plays, debating and extempore speaking. Experimenting with thought provoking and interesting topics ,they mustered all their grit and fortitude to win their respective events.During these three days a wide array of literary and art based activities were organised to provide ample opportunities to students to refine their oratory and articulation skills.Students put up a very spirited performances and judges had a difficult time picking out the best amongst them.
.”A single opinion can transform lives and a solitary voice can change the world.” To encourage youngsters to think and believe differently.Day 1 of Educonclave witnessed an ‘English Declamation Competition ‘ wherein the participants spoke very eloquently with immaculate precision on the topics related to orthodox beliefs of patriarchy, poverty and various environmental issues.
Poetry has an aura of magic and mystery around it that leaves the audience enthralled and wanting more.To celebrate poetry, students of Middle block had a Poetry Recitation Competition as well wherein the students decked up in the school uniform with the theme based backdrops cited a variety of spellbinding poems.
PowerPoint Presentation Competition for classes 6 to 8 was also held wherein the tech savvy students overwhelmed the teachers and audiences with the powerful presentations and strong conviction.
In Poster Making Competition students came up with picturesque and scintillating ways to express their ideas on the given themes.
One of the highlights of Educonclave was a series of Nukkad Nataks(Street plays) staged on day 2.
Armed with a potent script and meticulously chosen cast ,a series of Online Nukkad Nataks revolving around gender stereotypes were being staged and well applauded by all.
The program culminated with a brilliant show of dance and music as a part of a Talent Hunt Competition. The participants set the virtual stage on fire with their spirited performances showcasing their wide-ranging talents in singing and dancing.The online classes literally came alive with melodious renditions and electrifying dances and the student dexterity over the other musical instruments.
All in all Educonclave fulfilled its mission of engaging, enlightening and empowering students as the leaders of change.
