The Investiture Ceremony of St. Joseph Senior Secondary School, Sector 44 for the academic session 2020-21 was held with simplicity and dignity. A special ceremony was held with the high degree of earnestness and passion and was presided over by the Principal of the school Ms. Monica Chawla.
Leadership is not a position or a title. It is an action and example. Every year the elected Student Council is provided opportunities to take up new responsibilities on their shoulders that would make them influencers, leaving a strong impact on the others. This year also the coronation of young leaders as the members of the student council bestowed these responsibilities on a new set of people and they all accepted it with gratitude and commitment.
A small ceremony was held with enthusiasm and delectation. It commenced with a welcome and inspiring speech by the Principal Ms Monica Chawla, followed by conferring the elected Leaders with badges and sashes. The students’ council took the pledge to hold the school motto in high esteem.
Ms. Shreya Chawla of Class XII (Sciences) and Mr. Jayant Sharma Class XII (A2) were selected the Head Girl and the Head Boy respectively for the current academic session. Ruchika of X B became the Vice Head girl and Eeshan Khanagwal of XA was conferred with the position of Vice Head boy. The all four houses of the school also got their new Captain and Vice Captains; and all came from the secondary block of the school. The Staff present at the ceremony congratulated them and adjured them to be impartial and honest in discharging their duties.
The Management of the school was represented by Mr. Paramdeep Grewal and in his address he appreciated and congratulated the Student council. She advised them to be role models and extended a supporting hand to the students’ council for the smooth running of the school.
