The Ecstatic Josephians’ Commemorates the Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji

Guru Nanak Jayanti commemorates the birthday of Guru NanakDev Ji, the first Sikh guru and the founder of Sikhism. It is the most sacred festival of the Sikh community. The festival is celebrated with great religious dedication and devotion across India, mainly in the states of Punjab, Haryana and abroad .
The ardent students of Kinder Garden, Primary II,Middle Block and Senior Block, of St . Joseph’s Sr . Sec . School, celebrated Gurpurab on the virtual platform with great fervour and gaiety . The celebration started with a prayer to memorialize the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, followed by the chanting of the soothing holy ‘Shabads’ in Rag Sarang, Rag Basant and Rag Tukhaari, by the budding singers, making the whole ambience sereneand pious . The children looked very impressive as they were dressed up in Kurta- Pyjama / Salwar- Suit .
The special presentations (PPTs) prepared by the students, apprised the spectators about the principles and teachings of the pious soul, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, which reiterated the message of ‘One God’ and the ‘Eternal Truth’.It proclaimed that the essence of religion is engaging man to constantly remember the divine always and everywhere . The main highlights of the celebration were the ravishing Posters displayed by the proficient artists, Slogan Writing showcasing the tutelages from Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Poem Recitation that soldered the audience with the divine soul, Sakhi Ucharan , which depicted the bravery and valour of the Khalsa pant, and last but not the least, Sewa performed by the students in Gurudwaras, made them learn the lesson of following the path of universal brotherhood and harmony.
The programme concluded on a happy note with the unbeatable excitement amongst the students. Speaking on the occasion, School Principal, Ms Monica Chawla, while wishing the students a ‘Happy Gurpurab’, impressed upon them that the true religion is ‘Humanity’ only and advised the students to do “Simran” and eulogized the efforts put in by the elated students to celebrate this auspicious occasion of ‘Gurpurab’.
