CLOSING THE GAPS IN SOCIETY THROUGH AWARENESS AND SENSITIVITY
St. Joseph’s Sr Sec School demonstrated solidarity with the entire nation and the world to raise awareness amongst students and community on the World AIDS Day about HIV/AIDS through various virtually organized events during these unprecedented times of the pandemic.
Students of class XI and XII showcased several powerpoint presentations for the cause and a speech making the students cognizant of the causes of HIV and its prevention was delivered. It made an effective impact and reminded everyone how to stay safe and fight HIV. It also laid emphasis on fighting the disease and not the person suffering from it. The students also participated in an online poster-making competition and the winners of the same (seen in the picture) were applauded by the Principal of the school Ms. Monica Chawla.
The Principal also appreciated the teachers and cheered the students for coming together to sensitize everyone on the issue and taking initiative by participating in the Red ribbon club. The students pinned the ribbons during online interactions also as they are the international symbols that spread the message of awareness about HIV in its unique way.
