Students of St. Joseph’s school pay touching tributes to the Soldiers on Army day.

“ The Indian Army is like a mother who works selflessly and never asks for anything in return.”

The students of class IX of the Secondary block at St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School , Sector 44D, marked Army day by conducting an online poster making competition entitled – ‘ My salute to the Indian soldier’ .This competition was organized by Ashoka House . The idea behind this competition is to make students aware of the value of the Army and the soldiers who do so much for the nation. This was the best way for young children to pay tribute to the unconditional support given by the soldiers and the supreme sacrifices made by these bravehearts . Students made beautiful posters and wrote touching messages for the soldiers who do so much for their country. Some students wrote – “ Our flag does not fly because the wind moves it , it flies with the last breath of each soldier who died protecting it.” Another student also expressed hard hitting words which said – “A true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him but because he loves what is behind him.” Words that should make every Indian ponder and salute the soldier who gives his all, to serve his nation.

The winners of the competition were Shaurya Sethi , Vinayak Verma and Arshad Khan who stood first ,second and third respectively. Akshat Sharma and Angad Singh got consolation for their creative skills . E- certificates were given to these artistic young students.

The Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla congratulated the winners and was appreciative of the efforts of the students who did their very best to show their deep appreciation for the Army and the force standing behind it – the soldier , the real Hero .
