Josephians connected with the history and culture on the World Heritage day
The World Heritage Day is celebrated on April 18 every year, to promote cultural heritage and diversity of the world’s monuments and heritage sites by the International Council on Monuments and Sites.
While the world is reeling under the coronavirus pandemic, Secondary block students of St Joseph’s Sr. Sec School celebrated the day by using the virtual platform. Class X students participated in a quiz related to various heritage sites and class IX students made posters showcasing different heritage sites.
In the interactive online sessions teachers and students spoke about their experiences of heritage walks, impact of movies like Passage to India and also shared their thoughts on need to a robust conservation system for the heritage sites including the monuments like Taj Mahal which is listed in the Seven wonders of the world.
The Principal and the Management members appreciated the students’ ideas and awareness about the issue.
