Excellence through Perseverance

Perseverance, grit and the attitude to never give up were some of the attributes that governed the victorious accomplishment of St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School at “The Best out of Waste Competition”. The competition was organized by St. Soldier International Convent School, Mohali in collaboration with Chandigarh Institute of Drones. The CID is a unit of Innovation and Design Technologies and aims at helping children identify and nurture their creativity and make valuable contribution in the field of Science and Technology.
Tapping in their innate potential and donning their creative caps, 7 students from the Middle Block participated in the competition with their indigenous models. The list included models with the name Bulb Wire Game Light, Light Means Right, Vending Machine, Air Cooler, Mathematical Quiz, Bottle Sanitizer and Hand Sanitizer by Madhavan Narula(8A), Yashika Narula(7F), Aadya Tandon(8B), Nirwaan (8C), Saanvi Manhas (8D) and Saanvi Singh(8C) respectively. Saanvi Singh’s Hand Sanitizer bagged the fourth position out of the 60 entries that came across various schools across the tricity.
The students were applauded for the tenacious efforts and innovative ideas by the judges. The Principal and the Director of the school congratulated the winners and urged them to continue diligently in their pursuits and never let the creative spark in them die.
