CARING FOR STRAY ANIMALS
Stray animals are those who live on streets with no one to care for them. Sometimes they have to survive on exposed garbage even. When they become sick or injured, the situation worsens. They also need love and care. The teachers of Kindergarten at St. Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Sector 44 D Chandigarh took the initiative to sensitize Josephians about this noble cause of caring for homeless animals and birds.
Through a short video, tiny tots were made aware of their condition and the ways how they can shelter them i.e. they can put clay bowls of water for street animals especially during summers, feed the birds by spreading grains like rice, bajra, chana etc., find loving homes for them by contacting NGOs near them that work for animals and always stand & speak out against the cruelty to them.
This initiative inspired little ones to be animal lover and volunteer themselves to protect them. They shared their photos of caring and feeding these abandoned animals, with their teachers.
