ST. JOSEPH’S CELEBRATES MOTHER’S DAY WITH MYRIAD ACTIVITIES
‘To the world, you are a mother. To our family, you are the world.’
It is believed that God could not be everywhere, so he made mothers -So true and so beautiful indeed.
A one of a kind virtual celebration was conducted at ST. JOSEPH’S SR. SEC. SCHOOL, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh with the coordination of the Educators and Josephites. Numerous activities marked this very special day. The tiny tots of the KG block made beautiful crowns for their mother’s with the help of their teachers. These crowns must have made the mothers feel like queens as they were crowned by the precious little hands of their dear ones. The children also sang melodious songs and recited heart-touching rhymes to express their love for their mothers. Keeping this special relationship in mind, the students of the Primary Block celebrated Mother’s Day with great enthusiasm and fervour. The students showcased their love and affection through various activities like Flameless cooking, card making, Best out of Waste, Jewellery making with dry Pasta or Macroni, Picture Frame Making, FlipBook Making etc.
The little ones made Mother’s Day Flowers with words of appreciation written on the petals and utilized the waste material by making stunning home décor items and dedicated them to the most special person in their life, their mother. Josephians creatively designed Wall Hangings with their mother’s picture along with a heart-touching message written on it. Due to virtual participation, mothers also contributed by encouraging their children and reciprocating their love. Middle Block students celebrated this unique relationship between mother and child by making beautiful cards and lovely photo frames for their mothers. In the Senior Secondary Block, the students prepared delicious breakfast for their mothers as a token of their appreciation. It was indeed a pleasure watching the enthusiastic and energetic children preparing unique dishes to express their gratitude towards their adoring mothers. These activities brought a sense of achievement for the youngsters and highlighted the value of mothers and their role in shaping the lives of their dearest children.
The School Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla wished all mothers on their special day. She conveyed the message that these celebrations recognize the struggles of motherhood and encourage people to acknowledge the Supreme sacrifices made by mothers.
