JOSEPHIANS PROMOTE PEACE AND HARMONY ON ANTI-TERRORISM DAY
It is correctly said that “Terrorists have no religion. They only understand the language of devastation”.
St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. Day marked Anti –Terrorism day to pay homage to the former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The day is marked to spread awareness about the violence that is carried out by the terrorists. On 21 May, every year, Anti Terrorism Day is observed to impart knowledge to the youth about terrorism and also its impact on human suffering and the loss of precious lives. This day makes people aware of the anti-social acts of terrorists. It is necessary to propagate the message of humanity and peace on this day. In India, this day is celebrated every year to highlight the importance of standing up against the brutality of the terrorists who wreck havoc in the lives of innocent people. No doubt, it is an attack on the rights of human beings and their basic need to survive. It is thus imperative for us as people and a nation to come together and eliminate this evil and spread love, compassion and understanding within ourselves and our community. Terrorism not only spoils the relations between two countries but raises human right issues in the world as we have seen in the current conflict between the Israelis and Palestinians entry of terrorist group Hamas has escalated the problems and things which could have been sorted out have gone out of control.
