Keynote Speakers steal the limelight in Adolescents Edutainment Camp.
The Sr. Sec. Students of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School marched ahead to spend a Jubilant June. The camp ‘Exploring Edutainment’ beckoned education via entertainment.
The camp had an enticing and exciting itinerary starting from ‘Dynamic Dwellings’ which stole the limelight, as we had two distinguished speakers in separate sessions, Mr. Rajinder Singh Suhag, Crime Expert of Chandigarh, and Mr.P.P.Arya, Retired Professor from UBS, Panjab University and a Social Reformer who has 16 books and 60 international and national research publications to his credit.
Mr. Suhaag, a Cyber Crime expert, had an interactive session with our students strengthening their protocols of online security and safety. Useful tips to secure the data, and information while using social media, gaming, shopping, and working online were shared. The guidelines provided by Mr. Suhaag were practical and useful. Many students shared anecdotes and sought guidance from sir regarding the same.
Mr. P.P. Arya created consciousness regarding the economic status of India in the past and present. He shared the thought-provoking fact that since independence India has achieved a 2.3 trillion economy and hitting the bullseye of 5 trillion economies would be a great challenge as it would be accompanied by job growth, equality of opportunity, and also better health and education, indirectly building up the social status and dignity of the economy. Apart from this, the students were also keen on discussing issues like working ambiance and job security in the private and public sectors. The students were quite satisfied with gaining insights into the same.
The virtual globetrotting at NIPER-Mohali & Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) was also viewed as a through-fare. Students through these virtual tours gained knowledge of the ongoing research projects in the field of Pharmaceuticals, Postgraduate, Management and Doctoral Programs offered by the institute for their careers. The visit to BSE was thrilling for all stream students as the information related to trading equities, currencies, debt instruments, derivatives, and mutual funds was visualized.
Skill Training and Skill Chase was a reinvigorating and rebooting platform for young learners and performers. Talent hunt for orators, bloggers, musicians, animators, and YouTubers voiced creative and robust approach of adolescents. DIY activities where students explored their crafting and painting knacks and Yogathon was also cherished by many students as it let the fun and frolic speckles of evergreen moments breathe as a refresher course.
The Principal Ms. Monica Chawla and Coordinator Ms. Meena Sharma appreciated the participation and learning attitude of the students. The educators were proud to take this step of mingling education and entertainment to induce the learners towards upcoming skill requirements.
