Acknowledging the selfless services of Doctors

St. Joseph’s Senior Secondary School celebrated Doctor’s Day today through a virtual platform to thank and honour the Selfless Services of doctors to mankind.  Doctor’s day is celebrated every year in India on July 1 to pay tribute to Dr.Bidhan Chandra Roy, an iconic physician who has made innumerable contributions in the field of Medicine.

The students of St. Joseph’s saluted the unrelenting spirit of dedication of the doctors by composing and reciting poems in their praise. The students expressed their gratitude towards these altruistic and compassionate beings by writing slogans dedicated to their ardent endeavours to serve the humanity. The puppet show to explain the protocols to be followed to keep ourselves safe during the challenging times was the highlight of the celebrations. The respect and the admiration for the medical fraternity were evidently visible as the students sung poems and songs in praise of the real heroes and saviours.

The role of the doctors in healing the world could never be debated but they have emerged as the real champions during the unprecedented times of Covid-19. They have stood tall and courageous as front line workers and served relentlessly to save lives affected by the deadly virus.

The entire nation feels indebted to the medical fraternity which has helped us to defeat the fatal pandemic. The school feels honoured and proud to be a part of the nationwide celebration and compliments the resolute spirit of the doctors.

The Principal urged the students to follow the path of nobility and selflessness and become responsible citizens of the country by following the example of the brave doctors.
