ENGLISH RECITATION COMPETITION

Recitation has its own rhythm, music, sounds & beats which are very much helpful for child’s language development, cognitive development & emotional development.

An online English Rhyme Recitation Competition was held for the students of K.G. in Kindergarten block of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School, Sector 44 D, Chandigarh.  The students presented a variety of rhymes such as save water, protect nature and animals, planets, trees, precautions to be taken during the pandemic, value of time and so on. Some children showed their desire to go to school, meet their teachers and have fun with their classmates. Every child conveyed some message through the poem. The judges were awestruck to see their confident delivery of rhymes and correct pronunciation of complex words. All the performers used beautiful handmade props to make their performance lively. It was an excellent opportunity to explore and encourage the speaking skills and confidence in children. It inspired them to come forward and recite virtually and also helped them to practice pitch, voice modulation & volume.
