“We do not inherit the Earth from our parents, we borrow it from our children”- Chief Seattle
In an initiative to generate the habit of using old things to create beautiful crafts amongst children, a concept which has global significance, an online best out of waste Competition was recently organized at St. Joseph Sr. Sec School, Primary 1 Block for Class 1.
Little hands and imagination minds came together in a creative burst of energy. The competition focused on bringing an understanding among the children about preserving the environment by reusing and recycling waste material.
A variety of waste materials like newspaper, pistachios shells old CDs, plastic bottles, ropes, ice cream sticks, bangles, coconut shells etc. were used to make useful things like Pen stand, Toys, Lanterns, Pencil boxes, Bird feeders, Aquarium, Flower etc.
Articles prepared by the children were a treat to the eyes and all the participants were appreciated and motivated by Coordinator, Miss Shelza Arora.
This fun filled competition witnessed a keen participation by all the students and we were glad to see the enthusiastic parents who took out their valuable time and made a special bond with the children helping them to display their creativity online.
