Josephites paid tribute to The Youngest Indian Prime Minister to Mark Sadbhawna Diwas Celebration
Students of Secondary Block of the St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Sector 44, Chandigarh, paid heartfelt gratitude and tribute to the Youngest Prime Minister, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, on his birth anniversary. The day was marked as ‘A Day to Learn’. The main theme of Sadbhavana Diwas is to promote national integration and communal harmony among people of all religions and languages. Keeping the theme in mind, the Hindi Department of the school creatively crafted Declamation, Poetry Recitation competition in the block tickling every young mind to be fearless and motivated speakers to transform them into the visionaries of tomorrow.
Soaking in the spirit of celebration, students discussed this day which inspires the spirit of unity, peace, and love towards all in our country with great enthusiasm. Students creatively expressed their views in the form of self-composed poems and speeches to give vent to their views and also to motivate others to promote communal harmony.
The boundless joy of celebrating this day online was a great opportunity for all the students to learn about their nation and peace innovatively and they took a woe to spread the message of love, peace, and unity. The students took the “Sadbhavana Diwas Pledge “I take this solemn pledge that I will work for the emotional oneness and harmony of all the people of India regardless of caste, region, religion, or language. I further pledge that I shall resolve all differences among us through dialogue and constitutional means without resorting to violence.”
The Members of the management appreciated the efforts of the Hindi Department to ensure the promotion and preservation of the Mother Tongue in this technology-driven era. The School Principal, Ms. Monica Chawla, lauded the participating spirit of the students and teachers’ effort to promote a message of peace, communal harmony, and a feeling of common brotherhood not just in our country but around the world, especially when there is unrest in some parts of the world.
To acknowledge the participating spirit, Students were given appreciations cards by the Hindi Department.
