Story telling is a unique human skill shared amongst people far and wide. It opens up the vivid imagination that runs wild in children. It also builds confidence and enhances speaking skills. . Story telling brings language alive and creates participatory and immersive experience that allows young learners to enjoy hearing the language in a dynamic, stylistic and entertaining way. Story telling Competition was organized for the students of class -2 Primary 1 of St. Joseph’s Sr. Sec. School.
The young vibrant storytellers came forth with wonderful stories. They spoke stories on ‘Value of Time’ and ‘Animal Welfare’. Some stories provided food for thought and some reinforced moral values. They were sensitize towards animals after hearing touching and emotional stories .They were made aware about the time management also. The students were adjudged on the basis of confidence, dictation, expression and presentation skills. Oratory and presentation skills exhibited during the story telling competition enthralled the audience.
Coordinator Ms. Shelza Arora motivated students to follow moral values and shows humanity towards animals and nature.
